MRD stands for one-stop motorsports expertise. We combine many years of experience in active motorsports with engineering, vehicle development, and the professional organization of racing series and events.
OUR STORY
MRD was founded in 2003 by Matthias Meyer and originally grew out of motorsports management and the support of his own racing career. After winning the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup championship and being named a Volkswagen Junior factory driver, he took on extensive testing and development tasks for Volkswagen Motorsport and the Volkswagen Group.
As a test and development driver, Meyer played a key role in the testing and development of numerous cup cars, touring cars, and high-performance vehicles produced by the group.
Based on this experience, MRD has continued to evolve: from motorsports management to an engineering and development partner for challenging motorsports and automotive projects. Today, we combine design, manufacturing, testing, and development with the experience we’ve gained from hands-on involvement in motorsports.
Developing its own ideas and concepts and bringing them to motorsports has always been part of MRD’s DNA. This results in both technical solutions and proprietary vehicle concepts and racing series.
Another key focus is the organization and management of national and international racing series and events. As a promoter of its own series and a professional partner to event organizers, associations, teams, and manufacturers, MRD handles technical, organizational, and operational tasks—from concept to execution.
